Hawzah News Agency- Qabanchi addressed various domestic, regional, and international issues in his Friday sermon delivered at the Grand Fatimiyah Husseiniya in Najaf Ashraf.
Support for Azerbaijani Students, Call for Solidarity
At the beginning of his sermon, he expressed gratitude to Iraqi ministries and the Najaf provincial government for hosting Azerbaijani students, describing the move as a form of solidarity with Islamic nations.
The Najaf Friday prayer leader also proposed holding solidarity gatherings with the Azerbaijani nation at various educational levels, including primary and secondary schools and universities.
Encouraging Religious Hymns in Schools
On domestic affairs, Qabanchi praised the flourishing phenomenon of "religious hymns in primary schools," thanking and commending the management of these schools for the valuable initiative.
Israeli Aircraft Violate Iraqi Sovereignty
He then addressed security issues, citing official reports that Israeli aircraft are violating Iraqi airspace. He described the move as an aggression against national sovereignty and a violation of international law, as well as an insult to the dignity and feelings of the Iraqi people, demanding the government take a firm and serious stance against these violations.
Protest Over Sheeb Closure and Pressure on Iran
Qabanchi, referring to popular gatherings in the city of Amarah protesting the closure of the Sheeb crossing and its economic damage, said the government has not provided an acceptable reason for the closure.
He added that the move has created a negative perception and is seen as an intention to escalate pressure on Iran. Declaring his alignment with the people of Amarah, he demanded the immediate reopening of the crossing or the provision of a suitable alternative and clarification of the reason for the decision to public opinion.
World Order on the Brink of Collapse, US Defeat
On the international front, the Najaf Friday prayer leader, referring to security, political, and economic turmoil in Europe, described it as a sign of the approaching collapse of the Western pole.
He also emphasized that the US confrontation with Iran has resulted in a "political and economic defeat" for the United States, which is itself the main factor behind rising prices worldwide. The world is on the brink of the collapse of the order imposed by the US, he said.
Trump's Insult to the Prophet (PBUH): A Sign of Islam's Expansion
Qabanchi also referred to Trump's insulting remarks against the name of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), describing them as a sign of the expansion of Islam's influence and fear of the growth of Islamic awareness in the face of global arrogance.
Religious Sermon: Virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA) in Sunni and Shia Sources
In the second part of the sermon, dedicated to religious topics, the Najaf Friday preacher, referring to the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (SA), examined her status in Sunni and Shia sources.
Citing authentic narrations, including the hadith "Fatima is a part of me" (Bukhari and Muslim) and "Fatima is the mistress of the women of Paradise" (Bukhari), he also noted Hazrat Zahra's moral and behavioral resemblance to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) citing Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud.
In conclusion, citing narrations from Shia sources, he emphasized the deep bond between the Prophet (PBUH) and Hazrat Zahra (SA) and stressed the importance of piety in achieving peace and blessings.
